What is a Pre-Shipment Inspection?

This is the most popular type of inspection before the shipment ship to the buyer or supply chain to ensure their importing merchandise is in their specified level of quality standard and met all specifications what they have recommended in this particular product. FRI [ Final Random Inspection] will be taken place once all of its batch products are finished and packed in export cartons with shipping mark. 

An inspector will visit your factory to review the quality processes and test the product in detail when your order reaches 80% of product, ensuring that it fulfill its initial specifications.
The appropriate sampling process to select batches of products for the pre-shipment inspection, and compare them with the quality requirements or standards of your target market.

· Quality check for workmanship. 

· Quality check for specifications/measurements
· Quality check for materials/trims used with manual testing on site. [ no lab test involved ] 

· Quality Check  for Packing and shipping marks.

· Detailed evaluation report with images.

Advantage of Final Random Inspections ( FRI ) -   3rd party inspection is a systematic process quality verification system to select products randomly from the shipping lots . It will be conducted when the shipment packed 100% in export carton with all required shipping mark. Some time it may be carried out at 80% packed goods. QIOD's third party inspection gives you confidence and peace of mind that your order is completed successfully in terms of quality and quantity before being  dispatched. Buyer will get the clear idea about  the quality and specifications of the product when the detailed  report delivered on their desk top. Buyer will get the choice to refuse or accept the shipment based on the reports and if there is any corrective action to be taken place then the detailed inspection report help them take necessary  action in time. Some cases vendors will also get the chances to rid of from the huge charge back  by taken the corrective action before ship. This is one of the mutual benefited course of action.

QIOD inspections are based on MIL STD 105E Table which is widely recognized inspection standard. This American standard now has equivalents in all national and international standardization organizations (ANSI/ASQC Z1.4,ISO 2859,NF06-022).   This standard is a proven method to Reject or Accept a shipment by inspecting  a randomly selected samples in AQL sampling plan. 

QIOD adopted Sampling plan as bellow MIL STD 105E Level 2 Single Sampling Plan For Normal Inspection.

Defects are classified into three different categories.

A, Critical Defect  :-  Unsafe or Hazardous 

B, Major Defect    :-   Likely to create failure of the unit for its intended purpose or it effect in appearance of the unit.
